Service Description: This data represents a color-infrared (CIR) county orthophoto mosaic in MrSID image format produced from CIR aerial photographs of a particular Iowa county. This county mosaic was developed from individual aerial images taken during the 1980's. These images were a part of the National High Altitude Photography Program (NHAP) that was coordinated by the United States Geological Survey (USGS). The Color-infrared images were taken at a scale of 1:58,000. All photos were digitally scanned from hardcopy prints by the Aerial Photography Field Office in Salt Lake City, UT. They were cast on the Universal Transverse Mercator Projection (UTM) on the North American Datum of 1983 (NAD83). These are wavelet-compressed raster format images at a resolution of 1 meter.
